In 2008, on the initiative of doc. inż. Marek Sekieta, the ŁUD Volunteering was created, consisting of students of the Faculty of Organization and Management. Thanks to the then dean, we always had a lot of volunteers willing to help, not only students but also outstanding employees of the Politechnika Łódzka.

Among the volunteers, there was also the current rector of Politechnika Łódzka, prof. dr hab. inż. Krzysztof Jóźwik, and then vice-rector for student affairs, prof. dr hab. inż. Ireneusz Zbiciński, who still attends ŁUD lectures to this day. A frequent guest and volunteer was also the current Mayor of the City of Łódź, Hanna Zdanowska, the then Łódź Voivodeship, Jolanta Chełmińska, and the then chief education officer, Jan Kamiński.

In 2011, at the proposal of a student of ŁUD, the Junior Volunteering was created. Back then, children from the age of 7 were accepted! However, experience made us raise the minimum age limit from which we invite children to volunteer.

Currently, the ŁUD volunteering program consists of graduates from ŁUD PŁ, who usually stay with us for several years. They make friends, gain experience and can participate in meetings with special guests.
